GroutSeal - by Tech-Dry

Your permanent grout sealing solution, GroutSeal is a high-quality silane/siloxane water repellent impregnant for masonry building materials. GroutSeal performs anywhere you need to protect grout by deeply penetrating the structure of masonry surfaces for maximum substrate water repellence. Grout is often the most vulnerable to water, efflorescence, and other water-borne stains. GroutSeal treatment will not significantly change the appearance of the masonry substrates and vapour permeability though a slight darkening of the surface may occur for some substrates.

Recommended Uses:
GroutSeal is recommended as a water repellent sealer for tiles and grout. Suitable tiles include ceramic or terracotta tiles as well as concrete or natural stone pavers. GroutSeal is also suitable for other porous masonry building substrates. GroutSeal features include:

  • Penetrates masonry substrate surfaces.
  • Permanently bonds to the substrate with no peel or blister.
  • UV, alkali stable and durable formulation.
  • Reduces water penetration, efflorescence, and water-borne staining.
  • Does not significantly change the surface appearance and vapour permeability.
  • A slight darkening of the surface may occur for some substrates.

Solid Silane SS801 - by Tech Dry

New technology for long-term protecting concrete structures from water and chloride ions, Solid Silane SS801 solves run-off and contamination issues with common liquid silane or siloxane treatments. One coat application with better ingredients means easier use and lower labour costs, too.

Recommended Uses:
Solid Silane SS801is used in the treatment of concrete infrastructures such as roads, bridges, wharves, or other concrete substrates to prevent water and chloride ion induced reinforcement corrosion. The product can also be used as a coating primer to significantly increase the durability of the concrete coating system. The silane cream can be re-applied to the treated concrete surface that may be previously treated with either a silane cream or a liquid silane or siloxane product. Features include:

  • Innovative aqueous thixotropic cream technology with highly active silane.
  • One coat of application achieves deeper impregnation.
  • Suitable for horizontal, vertical, and overhead surfaces without run off or evaporation.
  • Easy quality control with a wet film gauge.
  • Improved siloxane concrete bonding means durable long-term protection.
  • UV, alkali, and weathering stable.
  • Significantly reduces water and chloride ion absorption.
  • No significant change in surface appearance and vapour permeability.
  • Environmentally friendly non-toxic water-based formulation.

Technical details:
Solid Silane SS801is an innovative aqueous thixotropic silane cream that contains over 80% octyltriethoxysilane and siloxane. Commonly used liquid silane treatments such as iso-butyltriethoxysilane easily evaporate during application and curing resulting in substantial loss of product.

Tests show the long carbon chain octyltriethoxysilane used in the SS801 silane cream provides much longer service life and better alkali stability than the common, short-chain iso-butyltriethoxysilane.

SS801silane cream generally requires only one coat, resulting in both material and application labour savings. More common liquid silane or siloxane products typically require multiple applications to achieve satisfactory performance.

Shower Guard - by Chemixus

Solve tile and grout leaks and deterioration in one application with Shower Guard, a proprietary polymer engineered together with a deep-penetration delivery system. By reacting deeply into the substrate to form a water repellent matrix, Shower Guard completely seals the material to permanently repel water and protect against mould.

Shower Guard is completely transparent and does not change surface appearance. Unlike most coatings that only seal the surface with a film, Shower Guard penetrates tile and grout to form a thick, permanent and invisible water-repellent barrier.

Most grout used in showers isn’t water repellent, and because it often remains damp, standard grout products provide the perfect breeding ground for mould, fungus, and algae. Shower Guard eliminates the problem easily and economically.

Advantages of using Shower Guard include:

  • Easy application.
  • Does not significantly change surface appearance.
  • Penetrates the substrate so it will not peel, crack, delaminate or deteriorate.
  • Withstands regular cleaning and common domestic chemical cleaners.
  • Protectswet tiles and grout making showers easier to clean andpreventing fungal and mould growth.
  • Suitable for all tile types including ceramic, marble, slate, and terracotta.

LEN 50 Timber Water Repellent

LEN 50 Timber water repellent is a water-based user-friendly sealer based on silicone for treating outdoor timber. LEN 50 penetrates timber grains rendering the timber surface water repellent. Timber water repellent may also be used for treating other permeable neutral substrates.

Recommended Uses:
Timber water repellent is recommended as a water repellent and sealer for outdoor timber. It may also be used to treat other neutral substrates such as fabric/paper, permeable stones, and polymer render. Some of the important features of timber water repellent include:

  • Fast water beading effect after application
  • Water-based, non-toxic, and non-caustic formulation.
  • Bonds to the substrate with no peeling.
  • UV, alkali stable and durable formulation.
  • Reduces water absorption and water-borne staining.
  • Does not significantly change surface appearance and vapour permeability.
